I just found out last night about the earthquake that hit China and I feel horrible that I’ve been completely unaware of this tragic event that happened on May 12. It is said to have had a magnitude of about 8, likely having caused a death toll of over 50,000 casualties, about a quarter million injuries, and left almost 5 million people homeless. A number of schools had collapsed, burying and killing children instantly.

Sadly, I’ve seen some of these disturbing images with my own eyes and my stomach still twists into knots as I think back on them. I obviously understand that many of us aren’t in a position to provide any type of direct aid to this situation, but share your hearts with these victims and always appreciate the life that you have. Life is only as good or bad as YOU make it. I’m no saint, nor a religious man, nor do I have anything close to a perfect life, but I’ve learned to cherish ALL that exists and comes about in my life because I know that my time can be up at any moment.

Let not only events such as these remind you of the realness of death and tragedy. MILLIONS of human beings die every year, many of whom are children, from hunger, disease, and war. While we sit here and complain about the car we drive and the clothes we wear, CHILDREN around the world, literally die every couple seconds because of simple things like not having clean water to drink, or not being able to prevent an easily treatable disease. And yea, I know I’m just “all talk” at this point, but I’ve always had my plans to make my contributions to fight for the betterment of human life, so I’ma handle mine in due time. That’s my word…hold me to it!

On a different note, I’ve recently discovered that my “web-guy” is on a trip overseas, so the new set of designs will NOT be available for purchase until the end of this month! That’s my bad everyone…I know they are steaming hot, but please be patient and I guarantee your satisfaction. Also, I’ll be adding 8 more designs to this first line up within the next 30-45 days. Which at that point, I’ll finally create a look-book/catalog and hopefully come to your town! Retailers, be prepared to feel the heat! You’re gonna WANT our shit in your stores. So far, I have plans to visit SD, The Bay, Seattle, Vegas, Phoenix, and NY. I will post more definite dates as we move along. In the meantime, everybody speak up and give me some feedback…I do this for the people and that’s all of YOU! You gotta let me know what’s good!!

Deprived of sleep and half delirious, I’ve finally made it back to Monday, ALIVE, and I am eager to share my crazy weekend with all of you. Long story short, the past several weeks have been hectic trying to push the new prints out and preparing for this past weekend. From Fashion Flood in Long Beach on Friday night, I had to DD the homie’s truck to the other homie’s in Irvine, then drove myself to LAX to catch a flight to Phoenix at 6am…got picked up (thanks D) and driven down an hour and a half to Tucson for my brother’s college grad (congrats baby bro!!!)…then caught a flight back home in the evening to prepare for the OPTIMUS music video shoot the next day in Van Nuys…need I say more?? Granted the LB venue and crowd wasn’t as big as I had expected, it was definitely a good night. It’s all love out there in Long Beach. Apparently, most of the other brands didn’t even show up, so we were able to flood that mother fucker with SP shit. Shout outs to Bossman Bong for putting us on…happy birthday homie! Shout outs to Caged Monkey for promoting the party, LONG BEACH for showing us love, and always a very special thanks to all my FAM BAM for coming out to support the cause and help me make it happen!!

Oh and congratz to the two winners of the Jordan Raffle!!

Now Sunday, was a whole different vibe…100+ degrees, outdoors, poolside, in the “Valley” (u kno what goes down in the valleys), Hollywood folks, industry heads, etc…of course it was the music video shoot for OPTIMUS’ hot single, “ON THE GRIND”. If you don’t know OPTO by now, go check him and his music out at myspace.com/optimustv and optimustv.com. Him and the band have a great live sound of hip hop, rock, and reggae all fused into one. I guarantee you’ll dig it.

Anyways, it was a great day. I was able to meet a ton of great people, got my network on, gave away a bunch of shit, and even got a handful of shirts ON THE VIDEO!!! Things couldn’t have gone any better. From the bottom of my heart, I thank CL and Sessions Entertainment for allowing SP to be a part of this great event. Due to Hot Tuna Bikini sponsoring the whole shindig, not everybody was allowed to rock SP shit (especially the girls), but I’m thankful nonetheless to those who did and for all the positive feedback from everybody. It was nothing but love and quite the experience. Check out the pics!

What’s good folks?! Happy Mother’s Day mom!! =)

And of course, also to all you other mamas out there!! Make sure to raise ya kids right. Whoop those mother fuckers’ asses if you have to!! HAHA! I used to get my ass BEAT…there were no such things as spankings or time outs…i got BEAT.  Seriously tho…keepin’ it old school might get you in some serious trouble, so don’t do all that.  But some of these kids these days have some nasty attitudes…y’all need to check your kids.

So I hope everybody had a great weekend. I didn’t do too much myself…alot of friends were out of town for Mother’s Day, so me and the homie just posted and watched playoff games all weekend. Quite the competition this year. Congrats to Kobe for his MVP honors, but I’m a Lebron fan, so GO CLEVELAND!! He’s been in a slump this series, but luckily the rest of the team pulled through in Game 3 and spanked on the Celtics. Boston is obviously the favored team, but I’m not trippin’ if they win cuz I’ve always liked KG and would like to see him win a ring…Lebron has plenty of time…he’s gonna go down as the greatest player to have ever played HA!

Anyways, Monday is back! And guess what this this Friday is…FASHION FLOOD!! Come out and show your support. There’s gonna be a bunch of up and coming streetwear brands giving away all kindsa free shit!! And you already know I’ll be raffling off some FRESH Jordans and a shitload of shirts…and don’t forget we’ll have beater tanks for girls!!! Check out the flyer…

Just to let you know that we really DO have a gang of J’s to give away, here’s a nice photo of ONE of the stashes…

So my nephew, Kingston, was out here from Phoenix and had his first birthday this past Saturday.  I thought I’d share what I bought my little munchkin.  Uughhh whatchu know about that??  Haha…his first pair of chucks!!  Man, I miss that kid already!

Other than that, we had a fatass kick back for a homie’s birthday that same night…and MAN, that was quite the night of drinking…amongst other things… =)  It’s now midnight, on Sunday night, and I am still dealing with the aftermath of it…NOT COOL.  But check out this picture of the other homie, Bam-Bam.  He had a hangover too!! HAHA.  Not from drinking, of course, but from being a soldier and partying it up with everybody until the early morning.  He actually woke up, yacked, and literally laid around ALL day.  Haha…you gotta know him to undertstand…goofiest dog in the world HANDS DOWN!

Well, it’s Monday again and a crazy week lies ahead.  Back on the road I go.  See you somewhere!!
