I’m back!

What’s up people?!

I apologize for having been out of touch, but yes (as usual), it’s been a crazy past 2 weeks.

If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you already know that I’ve been planning to push out 8 more designs over the next month, or so. Well, turns out my screen printer came up on a major job for some heavy clientèle, so my deadline has been cut short and the new prints should be out in about 2 weeks!! So go figure; I’ve been driving around and guzzling gas all over this mother fucker, BUT I’m not trippin’ cuz these new designs are FIRE!! And yea, I know I always say that, but it’s true…what else can I say? Haha.

To add to the stresses that come along with having a deadline cut waaay short, me and couple friends got into a car accident the Saturday night before Memorial Day. Just as we were nearing the Sunset exit, northbound on the 101, the car in front of us stopped abruptly cuz of the traffic ahead. Well, we had plenty of time and space to safely stop behind them, but about 5 seconds later…BAM!! We get rear-ended by this full-size GMC van, which plunged us into the Integra in front of us. I mean, we REALLY got banged…the poor old, one-eyed hillbilly must’ve just zoned out and coasted into us at about 30 mph (bye bye LJ’s accord). The damage is MUCH worse than it looks in the photo…and look at the fucking monster that rammed us…

FORTUNATELY, there were no serious injuries, or ER visits, but the 4 of us did get a good dose of whiplash. It’s been quite the challenge trying to keep up with my chiro visits while maintaining production for SP…not to mention, lifting and hauling boxes and shit around with a sore neck and back. I must admit, however, the incident was quite an eye opener. Although I was involved in what should have been a deadly car accident when I was about 15 (which made the front page of the town paper, btw), I was much too young at the time to realize what I had actually walked away from. But at 26, I fully realize what our rather “small” accident could’ve potentially been.

Not that I’ve been oblivious to this fact, but I’ve simply rediscovered that life is so damn short and unpredictable. Live your life and live it right before your time is up. If you want something, make it happen. And no offense to anyone when I say this, but to me, “destiny” is just a word that was made for the weak…life is how YOU handle it and what YOU make it…ya feel?

Anyhow, my bad for all the serious talk…had to let it out :)

On a brighter note, congrats to my boy “Wil”, his new wife, and his baby to come!! I actually had to drive down to O’side for the wedding the day after the accident haha. Small, but beautiful wedding on the beach at sunset…and they announced their 10 week pregnancy at dinner!! Also, congrats to the big cuz and “Peasley” on their recent engagement. Congrats to my lil cuz out in NY, who very recently revealed her pregnancy!! And last but not least, welcome back home “Saac”, one of my closest road dogs since elementary school, who just returned back to his wife from Afghan. Their baby is due next month!!!

Here are a few pics from the O’side wedding…check out that breathtaking sunset!

Man, WTF is up with all these weddings and babies?! Not that I’m super old at 26, but man…it’s just that every time I hear news along these lines, it adds to that “damn-I’m-getting-old-syndrome”. Anybody feel me on that, or am I trippin’? No offense to all the older folks, but FUCK, I’m nearing 30!! I still feel like I’m 16!! Is that bad? Hahaha…

So yea…that pretty sums up what’s been going on in mi vida loca. About the 4 new designs that are out…they’ll be up in our webstore this week. If you forgot, or haven’t seen em yet…check 3 blog entries back!

Peace, “BK”

Oh, and check out this picture that I took downtown of a failed business…only in LA…”MK TACO”…get your Mexican, Korean, AND Chinese fast food…OH, don’t forget about the teriyaki! Hahaha…
