Alright…the final two designs have been printed at last and here is a sneak peak!!

Exhibit A – “SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM” – An old Roman war quote in Latin, meaning “If you want peace, prepare for war”… (and thanks to the homie up north for sparking the idea, YADA?!)

Exhibit B – “Motivation” – I mentioned this design a few blogs back…BEAR ROCK had read the quote to me out of a magazine article about an ex-con who became a multi-million dollar real estate guru.  It’s a simple design, but I think the quote speaks loud enough for itself.

So there you have it…the 16 design line up is done and ready to be thrown into a lookbook.  Considering the countless delays and mishaps that have demolished my timeline, there’s no telling exactly when it’ll be complete…BUT it must be done ASAP, so stay tuned.  Everything will be available online for purchase come Monday.  In the meantime, marinate over these color variations of some of the other new designs…

WHOOOOOO!  Good lord we got some HOT SHIT!!  Save your lunch money damnit!  And remember, tax (CA residents), shipping, and handling are all included in the price on our webstore.

Where were we?  Ahh…right…

I decided I had to take a little break from all the madness that’s been surrounding the biz, so I spent about 500 bucks on 10 gallons of gas, and drove my ass down to beautiful San Diego for the weekend.  You know…that city down by the Mexicali border?  The one that was discovered by the Germans in 1904 and named after a whale’s vagina?   Anyway, I had a great time as usual.  The weather’s always perfect, the people are always friendly, and the alcohol always seems to soak straight into the brain.

I got there Saturday afternoon, had a bite to eat, and spent the night roving the streets of Gaslamp.  We hit up a few parties, but the best part of the night was that I finally got to ride one of those bicycle cabs (I just always wanted to ride one for some reason).  Well, this is how that happened…

So the night was over and the entourage decided to head to a little after party, which wasn’t TOO far away from where we were.  Well, as we were all walking to the cars, I absolutely had to stop and take a leak by a mail box on the corner of 6th Ave and C St.   Me and my homie who waited for me, fell about a block behind the group, and the group had split into two directions toward each car.  Two went one way and 5 went the other.

Utilizing what logical sense we still had left in our soused minds, we decided that it’d be smarter to follow the smaller group (obviously to be able to fit in the car).  So we promptly gave chase, but when we turned the corner, they were out of sight.  We went baaack on fooorth with them on the phone for a good 5 minutes, explaining directions to eachother, so we can get picked up…but we finally just gave up, grabbed a couple burritos from 7Eleven, and decided to walk.

Well, we start walking and realize that we actually have quite a ways to go (our destination was near the Marriott, easily over a mile away).  Then my homie says to me, “Ay, those bicycle cabs are only like 5 bucks a head.”  I reply, ” That’s It?!  Ok, I’m drunk, tired, and I wanna enjoy my burrito…FUCK walking!”   So we flagged one down, hopped on, and off we were…my drunk ass in my crummy ass wife beater, holding a 7Eleven burrito in one hand, and snappin’ photos with the other… HAHAHA!  I wish I could’ve seen myself…

We ended up paying this bastard 30 fuckin dollars…and then he tried to tell us it was a 20 dollar discount.  MY ASS…but whatever, can’t knock the hustle.  Fuck bicycle cabs.  Haha.  Anyhow…the rest of the weekend was chill…mostly spent recovering. :D

Before I finish up here, I do wanna announce that SANZ PAREIL will be attending and repping at CONCRETE PROJECT’S CD RELEASE PARTY, on AUGUST 8TH, at CANES in MISSION BEACH, San Diego.  If you don’t know Concrete Project by now, they are a live hip hop band with a funky twist and a touch of soul.  It’s nothing but that “G DOUBLE-O D, FEEL GOOD MUSIC”, so if you’re in the area, bring your asses out and come show some love!!! And you already know how the fuck I do…I’ll be giving away free shirts, so come get yours!!!

Peace, “BK”

Man…I’ve been dealing with a lot of bullshit and a handful of bologna ass individuals that have created quite a few obstacles over the weeks…but fortunately, things are gradually being squared away.  I mean, shit was like a goddamn domino effect for a while.

What else can I say?  I’m probably about a month behind schedule at this point, so I appreciate everybody’s patience, but I think everything has happened for the better.  Plus, you learn a lot thru dealing with the bullshit.  Which reminds me, the lil homie BEAR ROCK read me a quote the other day from a magazine article about an ex-con who became a real estate mogul…dude lives in a mansion and drives nothing but Bentleys and Phantoms now.  Anyways, the quote is… “On any given Sunday, you can let it rain, sleet, or snow…I’ll take it, because it only marinates my game…”  Pretty hot metaphor, isn’t it?  I’m making a shirt out of it now…it’ll be part of THIS line up haha.

I actually had to drop and replace 3 of the new designs…one of em because the graphics were done so fucking shitty…but don’t get it twisted, it was NOT the work of my main man JOE (who has done ALL our other graphics).  Long story short, we WERE on a time constraint, so we had to kick some of the work to somebody else…BAD MOVE.  The two other designs had to be dropped because we’re having too much difficulty printing them.  The colors just aren’t coming out right and I’m pretty adamant about details.

Anyways, here’s a sneak peak at two more…two more to go after this!

Whooooooo!!!!  Shit is HARD!!  This one is dedicated to all the go-getters that did what they had to do, and do what they gotta do.  By no means am I supporting any illegal means of gettin’ that GUAC…it’s just a metaphor, ya feel?  Besides, you saw how things went down in “Dead Presidents”…

Here’s the other one…

WHOOOOOOO!!!  This shit is FIRE, too!!  Hahaha…u know I’m bringing nothing but that CAVI!  I’m sure different folks will interpret this image in different ways, but here’s my gist behind it…  Basically, I think America is always glorified as this great and righteous country, but ultimately (globally speaking, that is), we are no different from these so-called “terrorist countries”…this is how they view us… And don’t get it twisted, I never take for granted the life I have as an American, but you can’t deny the fact that there is a unbelievable amount of hypocracy in our system and we have faulty representation as a nation to say the least.

Oh, almost forgot…there’s something I want to put out on the table and make clear, so to avoid any accusations of “biting”.  When I was forced to drop that first design (due to the shitty graphics), I immediately came up with this Statue of Liberty and had it printed the very next day, which was July 2nd (my print shop will vouch for this).  I even delivered a set to CL at Sessions Entertainment, for him and his recording artist, OPTIMUS, to wear in time for the 4th of July (thought it might be “appropriate” for the occasion haha).

Anyways, the issue is…on July 9th, I was doing my daily reading on my favorite hip hop blog (www.nahright.com), and saw one of my all time favorite artists, IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE, wearing a very similar shirt on a video interview .  This one was a vectorized image of the statue and it was only holding the pistol in the air.  I tried to search online to see who makes it, but couldn’t find anything.  My shit is a 100x harder anyway haha.  By the way, shout out to the big homie TECH…he speaks of revolution through his murderous rhymes in a rather “unorthodox” fashion, but the combination of his sharp tongue and charismatic voice make for very powerful delivery.  His new record “The 3rd World” is out NOW!!

I’ll be back!!

Peace, “BK”
