Wow. Time has been flying.  I mean, it’s HAS been for some time, but probably a bit more these days cuz its been busy as hell.  Being that we’re in a major economic crisis, I hope things can reach some level of stability or progress in the near future, so that all this hard work will pay off for Sanz Pareil.  Tough times.  Hang in there everybody!

Anyways, it’s been quite a productive month despite all the political and economic fuckery that’s going on.  I did have to take a short trip to Arizona for a handful of birthdays…happy birthday once again to my little bro, mom, and homegirl Esther!  And also to all my other loving friends and family who had birthdays elsewhere!  You know who you are! (so many fuckin September babies!!)

Besides that, we finally had our photo shoot for the look book last Thursday.  Speaking of which, shout out to Cherie Salazar, our lovely model…boy did we get some sexy ass shots!  I’ll be posting some “behind the scene” pics on here and myspace this week.

As a matter of fact, I also need to post pictures from TNT Production’s college bash that went down at the University of Arizona on the 13th.  Looked to me like a fuckin’ blast.  Thanks for hookin’ that up, Tank…keep doing what you do!

Farewell to our childhood homie David, who just moved back to Hawai’i for flight school.  Good times at the going away party…we will miss you!  SP Fam Bam for life!

Well, that’s a bit of what’s been going on.  I’m actually headed up to the bay this week for a little business meeting.  It’s something huge for us, but I’ma save the announcement for when it’s set in stone.  I’m so damn excited and can’t wait to let it out!  Haha…hopefully it all pans out.  BTW, don’t forget about the Mighty 4 10th Anniversary event up there on October 18th!!

City of Angels, lady tanks, and keychains are now available for purchase in the webstore!!  You’ll see the item names toward the bottom, however, pictures are not available just yet.  If you don’t remember what they look like, or haven’t seen them yet, please refer to the pictures on the blog post from the other week and you can see the details crystal clear.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but we’re actually going to be “renovating” the webstore in the very near future.  I figured we’d save the hassle of doing the same work twice, since we are having our photoshoot for the look book this week!!  Nice.  Finally, right?  This shit was originally supposed to be done back in like July.

Recaps/updates…

1.  Congratz once again to the newly weds, Kev and Pi!!  The backyard boogie was dope!  Despite my hangover from the previous night, in true Asian fashion, I got fucked up once again.  Fortunately, I had much more food in my stomach to soak up the alcohol this time…3 FULL plates to be exact.  I’m telling you, Filipinos and Chamorros don’t play!  There must’ve been about 60-70 people at one point and only half the food was gone.  But sure enough, it slowly disappeared throughout the course of the night.

2.  Apparently the college bash in Tucson was a major success for T and T Party Productions.  They attracted a crowd of well over 2000 and had to send a shitload away.  Although I’ve never been in a fraternity, or even attended a 4-year school for that matter, I’ve seen and visited a fair share of fraternity/sorority houses.  My question is, how the fuck do you fit 2000 people into one?!  Not to mention, have a live band perform?!  Must’ve been nuts!  Pictures are coming, so stay tuned.

3.  Here is the flyer for the MIGHTY 4 10TH ANNIVERSARY at Cow Palace in Daly City (South San Fran).  This is a major event, so get your asses out there.  The main event is on Saturday, October 18th, from 1pm to 9pm.  It’s a 40,000 sq ft venue and will showcase MC, DJ, AND Beat Production battles, various bboy competitions, and graffiti arts.  But most importantly, don’t forget to stop by the ATM cuz SP will be slangin’ tees for a dub a piece!! WHOOOOOO!!

4.  SoCal’ers, especially San Diegans…mark your “Nasty Nate” calendars…November 21st, Canes Bar and Grill, Mission Beach, Concrete Project, Sanz Pareil…IT’S GOIN’ DOWN ONCE AGAIN!  Don’t miss out.  Flyer still to come!

5.  The City of Angels tee, lady tanks, and key chains will be up on the webstore this week.  Yea, I know, I’m always lagging and falling behind schedule…but I swear, it’s not my fault.  When I post updates, I try my best to overshoot the target date (so that I do have the cushion for any laggage), but something always seems to come up and delay my operation…by ALOT.  It’s quite frustrating.  But of course you are all very understanding and simply love to put up with my bullshit. =)

October 18 – San Francisco, CA – Cow Palace – Sanz Pareil will be attending The Mighty 4 10th Anniversary Celebration at the Cow Palace in Frisco.  The venue is 40,000 square feet and will feature 4 rooms showcasing grafitti artists, MC and DJ battles, a B-Boy competition, and several vendors.  You know where to find us.  If you’re in the bay, or even willing to make a drive up from the southland, you don’t wanna miss this.  Flyer to come…be ready!!

November 21 – San Diego, CA – Canes – Once again, we’ll be bringing the house down at Canes in Mission Beach along with the Concrete Project.  You already know how the fuck it goes down.  If you haven’t been to any of our collaborations, you’ve seen the pictures.  Flyer to come…stay tuned!!

I meant to post pictures from the House of Blues a lot sooner, but here they finally are.

We got there late, about 15 minutes into Optimus’ set which started at 8.  Sooo, we didn’t get to do our give away at the start of the show, but Opto did us the honors after his set.  Thanks homie.

I mention this time and time again, but if you don’t know Optimus by now, you need get on it ASAP.  That is a bad ass white boy.  “Experimental Hip Hop” in his words…I just call it great fucking music.  With his venomous vocals and a live band consisting of some top shelf talent, his sound is a fusion of hip hop, rock, and reggae.  I’m telling you right now, HE DOES IT RIGHT.  The has great stage presence and really knows how to entertain the crowd (even a small one like the H.O.B. night)…a stellar performer to say the least.

Ladies…what’s that you saw in those pictures?  Yup, they sure are the new tank tops that we’re hookin’ you up with.  I’ll post a better picture of them tomorrow.  That’s your sneak peak for now

Now granted this particular House of Blues is located in a very family friendly environment like Downtown Disney in the nice suburban city of Anaheim, if you’re headlining at a venue of such caliber, you need to sell some damn tickets.  Floacist must’ve sold about 80 MAX.  No disrespect to her (the music is great), but she needs to check her people!  That is some horrible marketing on her crew’s part.

Other than that, the “City of Angels” tee finally finished printing this past Friday, so I’ll post pictures of it (along with the new girl tank tops) real soon.  The shit is a definitely a heater.  Oh, and I also received those Sanz Pareil keychains!  I must admit, they’re a lot saucier than I expected.  So come back and check em all out!
