I’ll tell you what the fuck I’m thankful for…these gas prices!!!

Granted the pictures above were from Bakersfield this past Saturday, LA prices aren’t too far up from it. I don’t think it’s been like this in a good 5 years or so! I’m telling you, it’s cuz George Dubya is leaving office. These foreign oil tycoons were taxing HIS ass, because he’s a punk who happens to have a big hand in the oil industry. That’s my gist of it.

Which reminds me, did you see him get dissed on international news by world leaders?! They greeted everybody with a hand shake and smile, BUT HIM! They didn’t even acknowledge the man. Can’t blame em. The Bush Administration done fucked shit up. Not to mention, VP Cheney (Dr. Evil) is getting indicted now?! Hahaha wow. Enough of the George Dubya Douchery.

Anyways, happy turkey day to all. I’m back at the granny’s in AZ for the week. It’s a time for family, food, and fun, but don’t forget to have a moment of silence for those Native Americans who fell victim to genocide by some punk ass Europeans. America wasn’t simply founded and built by some so-called forefathers. And while I’m at it, Chris Columbus sure sailed the ocean blue in 1492, but that fool didn’t “discover” shit.  He ran into someone else’s back yard haha…I’ll leave it at that.

Wake It Up Tour Log #3 coming soon! Along with Pix from Canes!! Shout out to Concrete Project!!

Peace, “BK”

I just wanted to take a minute and express my condolences to all those who lost their homes in the Montecito, Sylmar, and Corona fires.  I can only imagine what it would feel like to return home to find nothing but the charred remnants of my prized possessions.  It’s one thing to experience such the loss as an individual, but as a family? Man…

Aside from California’s notorious earthquakes, Southern California practically experiences these types of fires on an annual basis…they call it “fire season”.  The combination of dry heat, dehydrated vegatation, and the Santa Ana winds (which can reach hurricane strength) make for a fiery concoction.  And if you haven’t noticed, we didn’t see much rain these past two years.

Here’s a little interesting something from an LA times article:

“Through last week, 1.24 million acres [had] burned in California, the most since 1970, when consistent, modern records were first kept. Yet in a rare turnabout, most of that land didn’t burn in Southern California during autumn, a common pattern for the state. Even counting this weekend’s fires in Montecito and Sylmar, nine out of 10 acres that have burned this year were in Northern California, from Monterey County to the Oregon border, and most burned early in the season, thanks to a freakish dry lightning storm. Given the lack of rain over the past two winters, things could have turned out much worse, experts say.”

Here’s another exerpt from a NY Times article:

“But by Saturday evening resources were being stretched thin as blazes sprouted from the tall dry brush throughout Southern California. In addition to the three major fires, firefighters also dispatched ground crews and aircraft to a 10-acre fire in Rancho Palos Verdes and a smaller fire in the Brea area, both in Los Angeles County. There was also a small blaze near Escondido, about 30 miles northeast of San Diego, and another fire across the border in Mexico, according to state authorities.”

November 14, 2008 – San Bernardino, CA – Stingers Bar & Nightclub

Ehh…the San Bernardino show was pretty fuckin’ weak…for us, at least.  I mean, there was a big crowd and the venue was spacious, but the floorplan, stage, and sound was no good for this type of show.  On top of that, the handful full of opening acts were “whatever” and 40 was the only Yay Arean to show up.  Where the hell was everybody else?!  Oh well…this definitely isn’t the end.  Word is, this tour MAY go until February, so stay tuned for updates!!

Here are some pics from Friday night…

The crew and the booth…

A few lovely ladies, showin’ some love…

Here’s two of the opening acts.  I don’t know their names…

Then E-Fizzle finally hits the stage and saves the night…
