Change is here…

Wow.  So he did it.  He pulled it off.  The once unthinkable.  By a landslide victory.  Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Florida, Virgina, Ohio…and then he’s bringing it back to Washington DC to take back the White House PYAAAAAAH!!!  Hehe j/k.

It looks like a shitload of Americans finally came to their senses and made some educated decisions.  I’m not sitting here and saying that Obama has every answer and guarantees prosperity, but there is no question that he is the far better candidate by quite the margin.  I find it ridiculous to have even made that last statement.

Although I must admit, McCain’s final words were by far the most sensible things to come out of his mouth during his entire campaign.  I truly hope that his extensive experience in serving our country can be of aid to the new administration.

I am not a man of faith, but I have faith in Barack Obama.  It is absolutely a time for all of us to join hands, embrace this new leadership, and help him in every way we can.  With such the collective effort, we will make for a better country and more importantly, a better world.

Personable, educated, and open-minded…those qualities equate to a cause far bigger than the U.S. Presidency.  He isn’t referred to as an “International Icon” and a “Citizen of The Planet” for nothing.  I believe we have taken a very big step toward PEACE.

Peace, “BK”

P.S.  Good-bye Canadian citizenship application!!

I just wanted to encourage everybody to exercise their right to vote.  And I will not say who to vote for, but if you are a SENSIBLE AND COMPETENT HUMAN BEING, you know which is the right choice.  We, as a young and fruitful generation, have the opportunity to witness history in the making.  Let’s hope that no radical and outrageous events unfold on this important day.  Be safe tonight and make sure to remain composed, regardless of the election results.  Where there is joy and celebration, there is bound to be hate and outrage.

I am also truly sad to inform you that I will not be able to cast my first ever vote on such the day.  I registered some time back, but I returned home this past weekend to find a letter from the Los Angeles County Regristrar, asking me to re-register because the affidavit wasn’t signed.  I would have gladly done so, however, they stamped and sent out the letter on Oct. 28th, which was far past the California deadline.  The disappointment is lingering heavily on my heart, but my confidence in the outcome keeps me at peace.

It is time for a change.  Not only the USA, but the entire world needs serious progress.  If you think our own economic meltdown has been some fucked up shit, you need to open your eyes my friend.  CHILDREN around the world die everyday because they can’t even have a clean drink of water.  And you’re worried about having to downgrade your car/home and eat cup-o-noodles?

Peace, “BK”
