The game was cool…the West smashed on the East 146-119, but neither side was as competitive as I wanted them to be. I was hoping that Lebron would take the limelight and win the MVP honors, but somehow my daddy Shaq, and my arch nemesis Kobe, ended up as co-MVP’s, both sharing their 3rd as an All Star. Shaq being my #1 of all time, I couldn’t be happier for him, especially at this stage of his career…but damn…it was a bittersweet moment for me…
The dunk contest was hot, but didn’t quite meet my expections. I thought Superman would take it again this year, but 5’9″ Krypto-Nate came back for a second title and TOOK IT! I was sure that Dwight had it in the books when he came out of a phone booth with his cape, and two-handed yacked an 11 foot basket with EASE….BUT Nate came back from the locker room sporting green from head to toe (hence Krypto-Nate) and shut the shit down with this…
So anyways, I wanna let everybody know that The Concrete Project will be performing twice this week!! The first show is on Thursday, February 19, at the Whiskey A Go Go, on the Sunset strip. Peep the flyers for details…
Then on Saturday, February 21, they are back at Canes with none other than the legendary Souls of Mischief, of the Hieroglyphics camp! This shit ain’t no joke!
But that’s not all folks…come Friday, March 13, they are back at Canes, yet again…this time performing with the legendary DE LA mutha fuckin’ SOUL! Getcha hip hop right kids…
