And yes, another Joell Ortiz feature as well…find out how “YAOWAH” started…funny shit…
FYI, Joey and Royce have some new music videos out…be sure to peep em…they’re on some crazy dramatic type shit. Very cinematic and entertaining.
And I’ve haven’t made any posts about Lebron lately, but you already know what it is. The MVP is surely a given, but we’ll see about a championship. Considering they have homecourt advantage throughout and KG’s missing from the defending champs, this may be the start of the Lebron Dynasty…
Did a booth at the DunkXchange today…promoting SP and slangin’ some Mac N Teez shirts. It was okay…lotta hipster/trendster kids. We’ll be at Sneaker Pimps on May 1st, at The Vanguard in Hollywood, so be sure to come check us out.
For those of you that don’t know, Mistah F.A.B.’s from Oakland and probably best known for his single, “Ghost Ride It”, in which the beat was sampled from the “Ghostbusters” theme song. Now, unless you’re from the Bay, or follow Bay Area music (which really caters to the local scene), you probably just label him as a stereotypical thizz/hyphy/go-dumb type of mutha fucker…
Real talk? That’s what I thought until I really heard him spit…
Homeboy fired back and forth with Royce da 5’9, AND WON, at the AllHipHop.com sponsored rap battle the other year. He’s arguably the dopest MC holdin’ it down for the Yay and has garnered much respect as a lyricist throughout the hip hop community. Here are some fairly recent videos of Fabby Davis showcasing his talent…dude got skills…
Nio Tha Gift and Fabby…
Willie The Kid and Fabby…
Smitty and Fabby…

So I’ve mentioned this time and time again, but Hip Hop is incredible for me right now. There was definitely a lengthy period of time where I was just saddened by it all, but the comeback is serious. The progress has been pretty consistent over the past 3-4 years (in my opinion), and I feel like it has finally reached a point where I’m genuinely excited about it all (how it used to be back in the day).
No, I’m not talking about Lil Wayne, Kanye, T.I., or The Game. No pun intended, I’m just not talking about em. And I gotta say, the hip hop cyberspace/blogosphere and satellite radio have been major factors in that comeback. Shout outs to all the sites and stations that held it down for the double H!
Here’s HHO’s coverage of the 2009 Rock The Bells press conference…this tour is gonna be pure sickness…please release dates and venues!!
Guess who’s back?! Here’s Red & Meth’s new video for “A-Yo”, off their new upcoming album “Blackout 2″. Good to see the all the vets and real hip hop artists comin’ hard… New Jada, CNN, B-Real, Onyx, Raekwon, Tech N9ne, all of Slaughterhouse, etc etc etc…and that’s not even scratchin’ the surface…
There is so much to share, but I’ll end it there… Oh, and by the way, that South Park clip about Kanye has been removed by the user, but if you caught it, Kanye actually responded with probably the most sensible words that I would have ever expected out of his mouth. Good for you Yeezy, good for you. These are his own words from his blog:
“SOUTH PARK MURDERED ME LAST NIGHT AND IT’S PRETTY FUNNY. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SOUTH PARK! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER. I USE TO USE IT TO BUILD UP MY ESTEEM WHEN NOBODY BELIEVED IN ME. NOW THAT PEOPLE DO BELIEVE AND SUPPORT MY MUSIC AND PRODUCTS THE BEST RESPONSE IS THANK YOU INSTEAD OF “I TOLD YOU SO!!!” IT’S COOL TO TALK SHIT WHEN YOU’RE RAPPING BUT NOT IN REAL LIFE. WHEN YOU MEET LITTLE WAYNE IN PERSON HE’S THE NICEST GUY FOR EXAMPLE. I JUST WANNA BE A DOPER PERSON WHICH STARTS WITH ME NOT ALWAYS TELLING PEOPLE HOW DOPE I THINK I AM. I NEED TO JUST GET PAST MYSELF. DROP THE BRAVADO AND JUST MAKE DOPE PRODUCT. EVERYTHING IS NOT THAT SERIOUS. AS LONG AS PEOPLE THINK I ACT LIKE A BITCH THIS TYPE OF SHIT WILL HAPPEN TO ME. I GOT A LONG ROAD AHEAD OF ME TO MAKE PEOPLE BELIEVE I’M NOT ACTUALLY A HUGE DOUCHE BUT I’M UP FOR THE CHALLENGE. I’M SURE THE WRITERS AT SOUTH PARK ARE REALLY NICE PEOPLE IN REAL LIFE. THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DRAW MY CREW. THAT WAS PRETTY FUNNY ALSO!! I’M SURE THERE’S GRAMMATICAL ERRORS IN THIS… THAT’S HOW YOU KNOW IT’S ME!”
