It’s been almost a decade and now he’s finally coming home. Shyne mother fuckin’ Po…who at just 21 years old, had a promising rap career with Bad Boy Records, unsurprisingly fell under the “Bad Boy curse” and ended up serving 8+ plus years for a 10 year bid, on some bullshit. But way to keep his mouth closed and do his time like a gangsta. His early release is set for 10/06/09 and I, personally, can’t wait for this dude to get back in the booth.
His self titled debut album, which dropped back in 2000, is one of my all time favorites to this day. I didn’t think nearly as highly of Godfather Buried Alive (which dropped while he was in prison), but apparently it also went platinum. And fuck the non-sense you hear/read about him trying to “jack” Biggie’s steez. I mean, yea, their voices are very similar, but if you know Shyne, you know their flows are nothing like each other’s.
Well, after sitting in the can for more than 8 years of his young life, I know he’s gonna have much to say, so all praise to Shyne and best of luck on the outside. Let me take you back…
