Man, our president has some swag, boy!
But don’t get it twisted — I am with his agenda and what he is trying to accomplish. And I was especially refreshed to see him address an issue, in this speech, which has been of deep concern to me over the past several months.
There is a significant group of republicans right wing extremists (a.k.a. closet racists) out there, who have been slandering President Obama with ridiculous labels and name-calling (such as socialist, communist, facist, nazi, hitler, etc.), and OPENLY stating that they’d rather see this country fail than succeed under the Obama administration. And what makes it worse is that these ignorant, simple minded supporters of the far-right are incapable of thinking for themselves and easily influenced by their “leaders”. I mean, it is what it is, but I am seeing far too many news reports about race-related hate crimes these days. These die-hard, gun-totin’ hillbillies are serious about their shit and it becomes a safety issue.
Great speech, Mr. President.
