If you’ve been following the media surrounding Iron Mike over the past several months, he’s really opened about his personal trials and tribulations, showing himself under a different light — through his documentary-movie “Tyson”, and a few TV interviews, including the one on Oprah last Monday. Finally, people can see that behind this ferocious beast everyone has grown to love and hate throughout his lime-lit career — lies a lost, heartbroken, human soul, who’s been hurt, manipulated, and exploited from a very early and vulnerable age.
During that interview with Oprah, Mike had expressed his apologetic feelings towards Evander Holyfield (about the whole “ear incident”) and mentioned that he’s been wanting to reach out to him for a long time. Well, apparently, Holyfield had immediately contacted Oprah for them to meet on the show for the first time since the incident — and it was live by Friday.
If you haven’t seen the first interview (on Oprah), YouTube it. If you haven’t seen the film yet, YOU NEED TO.
