Yup, there’s more…couldn’t hold out on em…

West coast veteran, the big homie Rass Kass, drops 2-part video for a joint off his latest record, “The Quarterly”. One of the most underrated MC’s of all time. Star quality? No. I’m talkin on some real hip hop shit. I’m no die hard fan, but I still bump the ORIGINAL Soul On Ice CD, in my truck, TO THIS DAY.

Part 1:

Part 2:

Another west coast OG, here’s the maniac, Brotha Lynch Hung, with some new shit. No eating baby guts in this song. He’s actually on some real life shit on this one…but of course, it ain’t a complete Brotha Lynch song without SOME talk of murder and guns. Am I wrong?

Canadian sensation, Kardinal Offishall, goes in for hop hop on this one. Dope song, dope video. Not a fan personally, but he always drops quality hip hop. I give my respects where respect is due.

New Shawty Lo joint. I’m straight off Los, The Dream, and Gucci, but I dig the song and the video. I love “city-reppin” songs, I love the synth and percussion heavy southern style beats, and there’s always room for Luda on the SP blog…

Peace, “BK”

Whooo! New video from the big homie Twista…FIRE…literally. Oh, and featuring Lil Boosie, who isn’t even in the video since he’s currently facing a lengthy prison term. But who cares? I don’t. He annoys me anyway.

I like Rich Boy…when he drops shit like this. That hard shit. Great production.

Now THIS is what you call a damn teaser. If this type of promo/trailer don’t build anticipation and anxiety for you, then you’re probably a very difficult individual to amuse. Or maybe I’m biased? I’m a long time Cypress fan. As a matter of fact, the first compact disc I ever purchased in my life was their self titled debut album…no joke…it was probably around 5th grade or so (before that, it was all cassettes). I remember I was able to cop it at the PX (post exchange) because it didn’t have a parental advisory thing on it. I mentioned this before, but at that age, you really don’t know what the fuck these rappers are talkin about. The beats were funky, they were rhyming, and all them cuss words were candy to the ears. I admit, after albums 1, 2, and 3, I lost interest in them for a while, but in the recent years, it seems B-Real really stepped his hip hop game up and regained my interest. Plus he’s the king stoner of the industry…

This video’s whatever, but you know I love me some Rawse! Produced by the Olympicks!

Memphis triple OG’s with some new shit…doing what they do best. Glad to see 8Ball is still alive and well. I remember reading in The Source many years back, about when he was hospitalized due to some heart problems. I recall it being a very honest and humble interview. Respect. Does MJG seem to be getting younger??

Peace, “BK”
